Find sight words with a flying squirrel, avoid hawks and snakes. Teaches the common words that need to be memorized. Has grade level setting. Children need to recognize these words to achieve reading fluency.
You fly the squirrel by touching, there are many walnuts that have words in them. If you touch a walnut it says the word. You are trying to find words that match with the word in the upper left corner. If you pick those words you get points. You can change the word to match by pushing the Restart button in the lower right corner.
If you turn on hawks or snakes, you have to avoid them, making the game harder. If you hit a snake or a hawk, or the hawk hits you, the game ends.
Press restart in the lower right corner to start again with a new letter.
If the game is too hard, click on the icon of the hawk or snake to turn it into the hawk or snake with a line through it, this makes the game easier.
One can make the scrolling slower by changing the running man icon to no running man.
A great way to learn words.
